In 1987, Delaney was born in Ontario to a single mother & never knew her biological father. Over the years, her mother told her multiple names & countless stories about who he was. One of the tales was that when the biological father found out that she was pregnant, he beat her up. In retaliation, she said she had her biker buddies kill him. Delaney was left fascinated about who her father was & what happened to him. 

After a lifetime of questions, Delaney found Trouvay. She promptly took an Ancestry DNA test, shared her results & the researchers began digging. Through analyzing her DNA cousin matches & reverse engineering her family tree, Trouvay identified the most probable biological father.

Delaney tried a Google Search of his name & was surprised to find a Facebook profile for him. Even more surprising was that he was still alive! She sent him a message explaining who she was & after brief messaging, they jumped onto a phone call. The father stated that he couldn’t recall the birth mom or any details about her birth. But after about 10 minutes of conversing, a wave of memories flooded back & he remembered everything. 

He shared that the two had a short but happy relationship and then after they broke up, she disappeared. The mother had never told the father that she was pregnant and so he didn’t know he had a child. He welcome Delaney into his life and in the summer of 2022, they had an exciting reunion.
